Instructional "Camps" or Programming
At Spark Innovations we believe in teaching with intention. Seeing that spark of understanding light up a child’s eyes as their brain turns on to new ideas and concepts and watching them have that “AHA!” moment is an incredible experience for any instructor. But what if you have to work with multiple grade levels? A new grade level? What if you don’t know what they need to know? Can you really make any activity a truly eye-opening learning experience for any grade level?
We believe you can and over the last decade we’ve spent time in regular classrooms, in-home, after-school, and in camps perfecting our methods on how to hone in on what every child needs. You don’t have to just ‘shoot for the middle’ and hope each kid ‘gets what they need.’ We’ve used a simple method across all of our programs that helps every teacher know what their kids need to know. To have their own ‘aha!’ moments.

-
It’s called Art Academy because it’s so much much more than just a “craft camp.” Explore the curriculum and find how three strands of instruction are woven together into an immersive arts experience, Silk, Colors, and Fibers, and a beautiful guide to opening minds to the possibilities of learning science, math, history, geography, reading/language arts, engineering, and so much more the medium of Art. Teaching art forms that are unusual and highly tactile (fiber arts, silk-screening, and hand dyeing materials) means that no kid is already an ‘expert’ and all kids have the chance to explore and learn together.
- Science, History, Math, Reading- we have resources!
- We can assist you in developing a instructional program. Through our innovative curriculums and programs, students (and staff) gain confidence, grow in self-respect and learn new skills. They discover their own creative potential. We’ve seen over the last decade that with the right techniques a program can have a strong positive impact on creativity, motivation and communication skills in the young people we work with. We’re inspired by young people, and we aim to inspire them in turn. The result are programs and curriculums that get young people excited about learning and have proven to powerfully motivate disengaged students.
