Engaging instruction
-
We often get questions such as the following: How do you turn on the light bulbs in the eyes of your students? Is there a way to give teachers back the opportunity to truly teach? Is it really possible to teach multi-level classrooms effectively and make sure all students are learning the concepts that they’ll need to pass ‘The Test’? Can one curriculum really work for all grade levels? How can a teacher who isn’t familiar with a grade level really know what those kids need to learn?
Yes. It is. It is possible to keep staff and students engaged and excited about learning. It’s possible to teach skill and standard based concepts in fun and memorable way. Differentiating doesn’t have to be difficult. With a little bit of fun, it makes it a lot easier to teach AND learn.
For years we’ve worked with the kids who don’t have to be there and using a lot of innovation, trial and testing, and a spark or two of creativity we’ve found ways to make them want to be there. Through our innovative curriculums and programs, students (and staff) gain confidence, grow in self-respect and learn new skills. They discover their own creative potential. We’ve seen over the last decade that with the right techniques a program can have a strong positive impact on creativity, motivation and communication skills in the young people we work with.
We’re inspired by young people, and we aim to inspire them in turn. The results are programs and curriculums that get young people excited about learning and have proven to powerfully motivate disengaged students..............Access the Spark Lesson Unit Library..............
